Townsville Community
Townsville has community spaces where people can share practical skills, meet around common interests, contribute to local projects or find a starting point for support. Across the city and nearby northern areas, opportunities include community gardening, playgroups, youth activities, volunteering, service-club projects and settlement programs. There are also organisations offering information, meals, referrals and other assistance for people facing particular circumstances.
The groups below reflect different ways to participate: some are social and volunteer-led, while others provide more structured support. Their activities and locations vary, so each description notes the people and purposes they serve.
